This course meets the training requirements when applying for the initial San Diego County CCW permit and the NRA CCW Student course for NRA CCW Instructor Candidates. Working lunch! Please bring a lunch to eat in the classroom so we can maximize our time together.


  • Ear and Eye protection (electronic muffs preferred)

  • BRING A LUNCH! We will be eating in the classroom

  • Suitable STRONG SIDE holster that protects the trigger.

  • 200 rounds for primary firearm and 50 rounds for each additional firearm

  • Semi-Automatic Pistol or Revolver for the classroom (no live ammunition permitted in classroom)

  • At least two functional magazines (semi-autos) or speed-loaders (revolvers) with a magazine pouch.

  • Comfortable clothing similar to what students will where while carrying.

  • Shoes/Boots – comfortable with sufficient support to permit a full range of motion. No sandals or flip-flops.
